Last Tuesday at the Royal Free, going under general for the third time in 18 months to see if the steroids he’s been taking for the last 3 months have reduced the EoE, we return tomorrow to get the results… And smack bang in the middle is his fourteenth birthday… this is a very honest post reflecting on living with the constant shadows of EoE, Eg and Anaphylaxis.
My review of the the allergy + free from London show 2017! I laughed, cried, learnt, questioned, chatted, connected and ate and ate and ate! Go if you can it is BRILLIANT!
Here’s a little about our experience going on the Normandy school trip – where we stored our food and cooked made all the difference! The contrast between the two residentials we’ve done in France was huge as a result.
Living with Anaphylaxis does have it’s positives!! Yes, I do truly believe that we have gained more than we have lost living with severe allergies and anaphylaxis – so long as my boy carries on living. He becomes a teen today!!
With more and more children suffering severe food allergies, trick or treating is getting scarier for many parents. This is our story & why we’re hiding out at the cinema this Halloween!
Todays post is all about our journey of creating the safe recipes we share on free2bake. Baking and creating together has been really important for Aaron and I, moving food out of the stressful scary place of allergy & anaphylaxis to a place of fun, mess, tastiness and shared joy.

A little round up of my day at the allergy + free from fair on Saturday. There are some reviews, a little food for thought, as well as my highlights!
Super scrummy tropical sunshine smoothie, rammed full of fab flavours to refresh on sunny days like today, and to warm and cheer you up on the grey cold ones which keep sneaking in! This smoothie is lovely, quick to make and perfect come rain or shine!
a little bit of sharing… trying to make the shift with our perception of food from foe to friend whilst living with severe food allergies which cause anaphylaxis.
…makes the heart grow fonder (I hope). A little insight into how our life has changed since I last blogged as my son who has never had an allergy to wheat becomes a little bit more like me!
WOOOOO HOOOOOOO!! Aars is twelve years old today and I am so grateful and proud of him!
