vegan snickers m!lkshake

vegan snickers m!lkshake
mmmmmmmmmmmmm…

Yes, I have finally managed to create my perfect vegan snickers m!lkshake! It has only taken about a year… but I’ve persevered and the reward is lush!

Not only is this vegan snickers m!lkshake deliciously indulgent tasting; it’s also ram-packed with great for you ingredients, like bee pollen and maca powder. So it’s really nutritious and filling.

We have been enjoying some stunning weather in Surrey and I have been on the green juices for cool, refreshing and nutritious beverages. But today I really fancied something more substantial and very snickers-ie! Every time I’ve tried to create a snickers inspired m!lkshake it’s come out too rich and I can stomach about two sips, before it’s bunged into the freezer to be enjoyed as !ce-cream in small portions!

My lovely raw vegan snickers chocs were the result of some of these experiments and I still make them as they are goooooood! But I have finally made a vegan snickers m!lkshake that is not too rich and can be enjoyed beyond the first couple of sips. You can adapt the recipe to suit your preferences – the less dates you use will decrease the caramel sweetness they provide, and the more m!lk alternative you use the thinner the m!lkshake will be.

I use dried dates, so soak them in the m!lk alternative in a sealed jar in the fridge overnight so they are ready to be blitzed in the morning into a smooth and scrummy m!lkshake. If you can’t use peanuts, substitute the peanut btter for a tree-nut btter or use tahini (sesame seed paste).

I hope you enjoy this vegan snickers m!lkshake and I have added my raw vegan snickers chocs recipe below too incase you fancy a full on snickers-inspired feast.

Smiles and love to you,
Rai x

raw healthy snicker!

These raw healthy snicker chocolate treats are nutritious & delicious, rammed full of wonderful raw ingredients. Free-from dairy, soya & eggs they taste surprisingly like my old fave chocolate bar - the snicker! The soaked dates provide that wonderful sweet caramel flavour and all the peanut b*tter makes them very snicker-y! They don't last long in our home as they are very more-ish.

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Into your food processor or juicer** bung all the ingredients in the order listed above & blitz until a wonderful dark paste is formed.

pressed & ready for nutty topping

  2. Choose an appropriate sized container and line it with cling-film then dump all the mix into it and press it down with the back of a spoon. We sprinkle ours with chopped hazelnuts - but use peanuts if you prefer!

  3. Pop them the container into a sealed bag and then into the freezer for a couple of hours! When you want to serve, remove from the container and use a sharp knife to slice into appropriate chunks of YUM!

Notes:

*I soak the dates for at least 2 hours before use - it makes them softer and they disappear into the mix perfectly!

**I normally use my wonderful Samson juicer with it's mincing cone - but the raw healthy snicker photographed today were made with my food processor, so you can be confident that you can make them perfectly which ever machine you use.
