Today I am sharing my yummy scrummy, cinnamon popcorn recipe. It’s really easy to make and popular with my little nieces as well as adults and all those between! As Christmas approaches it’s really easy to get sucked into the whirlwind of busy! It can feel like a luxury to have some down-time, but actually it is a necessary thing – sooooo this weekend try to ensure you get one evening to snuggle up in front of an old favourite film as a family. This seasonally spiced cinnamon popcorn is the perfect accompaniment.
We have a few films on our Christmas list this year; including Scrooged, Elf, The Grinch, The Polar Express and Home Alone. This popcorn is the perfect seasonal accompaniment with the subtle hint of cinnamon, it’s both sweet and salty and it’s very, very YUM.
I love cinnamon and this is my favourite popcorn ever (Aars still prefers the sweet chilli popcorn). But I have Aars to thank for the idea – as he spotted some cinnamon popcorn for sale in the shops that he wanted to try – but it had dairy in it, so was a no-go. This was my way of giving him the opportunity to taste something similar – he appreciated it, but it was me who got hooked! My little tip is to make sure you make the popcorn a good hour or two before you plan to dig in. This gives it time to cool and set, otherwise you could end up in a bit of a sticky mess! Let me know your recommendations for family Christmas movies 😉
