kale mellow morning juice

This juice will give you a more mellow, gentle start to the day. Packed full of kale it's really great for your bod. The mint provides a subtle zing that will help perk you up ready to face all the challenges ahead.

Ingredients:

  • ½ large cucumber
  • 2 large handfuls of kale
  • 1 pear
  • handful of mint (I use black peppermint)
  • 1 lemon (I peel mine as I prefer them without the skin)

Method:

  1. Put some tunes on! Wash & rinse all your ingredients. Chop your cucumber & pear into sizes that will work with your juicer.

  2. Juice the cucumber, kale & pear together. Then peel and chop up your lemon and juice it with the mint.

  3. I then put the cucumber, kale & pear pulp back through the juicer to ensure I get all the goodness out of them and all the lemon juice into my glass.

  4. I wash the juicer straightaway, then stir my juice with a straw and get supping! Happy days!  

Notes:

Always use organic produce when possible - especially the kale, cucumber, mint & pear. Always wash & rinse all your produce before juicing. 

Non-organic lemons should always be peeled before juicing - try to leave as much of the pith on as poss as it's good for you. I personally prefer my organic lemons peeled too as I find the skin makes the juice taste more bitter.
