chilli shot

This chilli shot will wake you up, not a doubt in the world about that 🙂 It is hot and it's zingy and like all shots is best drunk down-in-one. For me it is a great way to start the day or a fab pick-me up when I am flagging in the afternoon*. It's simple, it's pure, it's fresh, it's energising, it's great for your bod and I think it is YUM! But you all know my penchant for all things hot and spicy.

Ingredients:

  • 1 fresh chilli
  • 1 fresh lime (I prefer to remove the skin but keep the pith)

Method:

  1. Prep your fresh ingredients by washing them.**

  2. Cut them each into quarters, and juice together - so I do ¼ chilli, ¼ lime, ¼ chilli...

  3. Pour into your shot glass and down in one!

Notes:

*I make this shot immediately before I make a juice, so there is only one load of juicer washing up!

**I prefer to remove the citrus rind, whilst keeping as much of the pith on the lime. You can keep or remove the chilli seeds - depending on if you believe they make the chilli hotter.
