beetroot juice boost

Beetroot is amazing for your body, and it's super scrummy in this very simple juice. Perfect for keeping you going on a long afternoon on a cold autumnal day when all the ingredients are in season. Give it a go and let me know how you adapt it to make it your own. It's really rich and filling so the portion size is smaller than the green juices I make.

Ingredients:

  • 2 large carrots
  • 1 large beetroot (including stalks & leaves)
  • 1 apple

Method:

  1. Pop some tunes on, clean all your veg & rinse them, then chop into the best size for your juicer.

  2. This juice needs to go through a strainer; so if you can, have one ready to strain as the juice comes out of your juicer. If that's too awkward, strain after the juicing process is complete into your waiting glass.

  3. Juice the carrots, then beetroot and finally the apple. I don't re-juice any of the pulp, or use a spoon to force any juice through the strainer as it makes the texture grainy. 

  4. I wash my juicer now before enjoying this small, delicious, potent and great for me juice.

Where at all possible use organic produce. This is a great juice in the Autumn and Winter as all the ingredients are in season.
